Hey You!

I’m glad that you decided to click the link for this blog post.  I’m writing this one for you specifically.   Yes, that’s right, you!  Stop looking around, this is all for you.

I know you are battling something.  I know that you have been stressed lately. How do I know this you might ask?  We are all in the same boat. Not one of us is immune from the stress bug.  We all have times when we feel down and out.   We all lay awake some nights and worry.  The stress bug seems to do it’s best work in the middle of the night.

So I’m here to tell you to give God your worries.  The Bible tells us to do just that.   Cast all your anxieties on him..(1 Peter 5:7).  I continue to have to remind myself of this verse.   It’s so much easier however said than done.  If only my  actions could mirror my words.  But it’s not easy and the stress bug thrives on it.

I’m not writing you today to play God.  I don’t know where you are at with your faith and that is completely on you.  I write because I feel that I’m supposed to.  If I can put a smile on your face, kick start your life in the right direction, and make you forget about your stress and worries for a minute or two – than I’ve done my job.

Today, I’m just going to encourage you to face your fear.  Meet your stress head on.  Step up to the plate and take a swing.  What others think does’t matter.  Step outside of your comfort zone.  As long as you take two steps forward for every step back you are moving in the right direction.  Our lives are not limited by the imaginary walls we put up.  The wall is the stress bug keeping you up at night.  IT’S A BUG.

Stomp on that bug and free yourself from the misery of worry and/or fear.  You can accomplish great things.  You have the power to change the world.  Don’t let the small things control you, and instead allow the big things to lead you.

Working in education, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many people.  I’ve heard hundreds of stories.  Stories similar to yours.  I know that it doesn’t matter who you are, or what you have.  Everyone struggles.  Everyone puts up an imaginary wall and treats it like the Great Wall of China.

Today is the day that you move forward.  Face your fear and don’t look back. Climb over the wall.  Bust through the wall. Take the opportunity that has presented itself to you…the one your not quite sure about.  Move on your talent. Take the risk.  If you swing and miss, try again.  SQUASH THE BUG!

When in doubt, shout this out….

Have a great week.

Mr. Jordan
